After several changes to the line-up, it was in mid 2008 that the Brave Empire we see today was formed. Our 7-piece band brings a unique blend of rock, hip-hop and pop to create a sound that the world is yet to hear. This distinctive sound produced by the combination of vocalists Shaka, Vuoche and Shauna, is strongly backed by guitarists Jamie and Steve, bassist Matt and drummer Ignacio. The ages of the band range between 18 and 23, with the drummer and two guitarist being together since primary school. The album has been written, sung and recorded all from the basement of the guitarist, Steve’s home. The recording studio was built by Steve’s dad, to chase a dream that we will one day, make our mark on the music industry.

Hail Lucy Nation is a four piece band from North Canberra with an alternative rock/punk sound. Formed in January 2009 at Music For Everyone’s Rock School, the band’s music is driven by the frenetic vocals and guitar of Michael Shannon, Rory Stenning’s keyboard wizardry and vocals, with an energy-drink-fuelled foundation from Marlo Hopkins on bass and David Shannon on drums.

Formed in mid 2008, Point of View and are a five-piece rock band who hail from the large country town that is our Nation’s Capital, Canberra.
As it stands, Canberra is known for the 3 P’s – Pyro, Politicians and Porn. Well, prepare to add another P to the list, Point Of View.
The monster that is Point of View was born when Jesse, Mark and Joe, who had been playing in bands together since college, hooked up with drummer Nik and singer Ryan. After a few jams together the guys just clicked, and the rest will be rock history.
The Point of View sound is influenced by many varying styles, but the mixture of all of these have resulted in a modern Australian rock sound, driven by dirty vintage guitar tones, a tight punchy rhythm and infectious rock melodies.
Point of View pride themselves on a live show with an energy and atmosphere that recording cant capture. With plans to tear up as many stages as possible along the East Coast of Oz coming to fruition, you will soon have the chance to witness the show for yourself.
